Mata Rani Jagran
Jagran is a word that will be quite familiar to the Hindus worldwide. Jagran is a holy event which consists of all night kirtan of the Mother Goddess Durga where her devotees worship her by singing her praises and her bhents which includes spiritual awakening for attainment of link up with Supreme Power. This is a holy event that can be held any time of year.
On Jagran we start with Ganpati, Navgrah and Mataji’s Pooja Abhishekh. First we light Mataji’s Akhand Jyot with chanting of Langar Vira, Then Ganpati and Mataji’s vandana is chanted in a devotional way, Then we start Mataji’s Bhents (Devotional songs) one by one those who like to sing, Then comes an offering of Garlands and Mataji’s Bhet (Colored Chunni, coconut, fruits, and Shingar Matirail along with some Bheta (in Cash),
Then comes Aardass by devotee & sangat (Gathering on Jagran), Then we offer Bhog Prasad to Mataji of Kheer, tea or whatever offered by devotee, Then there is a break for the time being, Then again we start chanting of Mataji’s Bhents after one hrs time,After this we do Mataji’s isshnan (Bath) with chanting of bhents and offer Ganga Jal or Rose water Bath, Garlands, Ittar, Kessar Tilak, Jalebi bhog, SweetPan Beera Bhog, and take blessings of Mataji. Then comes Amrit Varkha and phoolon ki varkha, Then it come to Matajis Aardas by devotee a person who has kept this Jagran, whatever he has to offer in cash or in kind. Now it is a time of Tara Rani Katha which we share in chanting of a poem or story form.
At last Mataji’s Aarti and some shlokas, After all this we do Kanjak and Lonkra Poojan and distribute Prasad to all and complete the Jagran with samapti.
